SAY MY NAME
I bet you can't.
Born and raised in Asia, my creative mom gave me this cool and hipster name that is unpronounceable for English speakers.
Growing up between cultures and on the opposite shore of the Pacific Ocean, I went through a winding way to accept the name I was born with.
In this short comic, I explained the anatomy of my legal name, teach the correct pronunciation of it, dig up some embarrassing memory of how I transferred from hating this name to accepting it as a blessing from my family and a part of my identity.
In the month celebrating Asian heritage, I would love to share this comics with you all. And hopefully, my Madarin class clears some confusions non-chinese speakers may or may not have.
