Melanie Yan was born on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. Originally with a name which English speakers cannot pronounce.

Wanted to be a comic artist while growing up, she went to OCAD University to study illustration, and recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Design. After working as a graphic designer, now she works as a Product Designer while not drawing comics.
