Melanie Lixiyue Yan (She/They) is a Takoronto-based queer Illustrator/Zine Artist.

Born on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. Originally with a name which English speakers cannot pronounce.

Melanie's work revolves around Asian diasporic queer and feminist narratives. Telling stories of her own and her community through visual ethnographies, Melanie aims to create resonance and perhaps also bring a little impact to this world.

Melanie is currently enrolled in OCAD U's Digital Futures Graduate Program, fostering an online co-authored community for Aasian diaspora queer artists.
